Clone Commander, also known as clone trooper commander, was a rank in the Grand Army of the Republic held by clone trooper officers who led regiments of 2,304 troopers. The sixteen clone commanders in each corps were in turn commanded by their respective Jedi General.

Captain

A Clone Captain, also known as clone trooper captain, was a rank held by clone trooper officers in the Galactic Republic's Grand Army who commanded companies of 144 troopers, although this limitation did not apply to every captain. The sixteen captains of a regiment were in turn led by their respective Clone Commander, or in some cases, a Jedi General. Standard Phase I captains wore armor featuring four maroon circles on the left chest plate as well as a stripe of maroon down the length of each arm, vertically up the middle of the helmet and laterally around the visor.

Lieutenant

Clone Lieutenant was a rank in the Grand Army of the Republic held by clone trooper officers who commanded platoons of 36 troopers and held the unit position of platoon leader. The four lieutenants of a company were in turn led by their respective Clone Captain. Phase I lieutenants wore clone trooper armor featuring four blue circles on the left breastplate as well as a stripe of blue down the length of each arm, vertically up the middle of the helmet and laterally around the visor.

During the Clone Wars, clone trooper sergeants were clone troopers bred on Kamino to command squads in the Grand Army of the Republic, as well as clone cadets of the Clone Youth Brigade.

Trooper

Clone troopers, also known as Republic troopers, Republic troops, Republic soldiers, Regs, and nicknamed the "Boys in White," were highly trained soldiers in the Grand Army of the Republic. Representing the future of galactic warfare, clones were designed to be far superior to battle droids. During the last years of the Galactic Republic, clones formed the backbone of the Republic Military that waged war against the droid armies of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Clone Wars was named after the Republic's clone army, which became symbolic of the conflict that had spread throughout the galaxy after a millennium of peace.

Paratrooper

Clone paratroopers, also known as airborne clones, were specialized clone troopers trained for airborne operations in the Grand Army of the Republic. In the waning days of the Clone Wars, the paratroopers of the 212th Attack Battalion's 2nd Airborne Company served as front line assault units in the Battle of Utapau. Following a failed attempt to execute Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi as a result of Order 66, Clone Commander CC-2224 "Cody" ordered a group of paratroopers to search for the missing body of their former general. The troopers failed as Kenobi survived and escaped from the planet.

Advanced Recon Force Scout

Advanced Recon Force Scout Troopers, also referred to as Advanced Recon Force troopers, ARF troopers, or as AT-RT Drivers, were clone troopers who wore lighter armor for stealth and speed and often rode All Terrain Reconnaissance Transports into battle, wielding RPC-2 Rocket Launchers and DC-15A blaster rifles. They were more intelligent and better trained in survival skills in comparison to other clones. ARF troopers wore Phase I ARF armor and, eventually, another model of armor.

Advanced Recon Commando

Advanced Recon Commandos, also known as ARC troopers, were an elite variant of the clone troopers that served the Galactic Republic. Chosen from the ranks of the Grand Army of the Republic, the status of ARC trooper was bestowed on clones who served with distinction on the battlefield, such as CT-1409 "Echo" and CT-5555 "Fives." The training of clone cadets also served as a means for identifying particular cadets who demonstrated the potential to become future ARC troopers.

Biker Advanced Recon Commando

Biker Advanced Recon Commandos, also referred to as BARC troopers, were special forces clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic that were trained to ride BARC speeders across difficult terrain or dangerous battlegrounds. BARC troopers were equipped with modified clone trooper armor that directed their attention forward to avoid distractions, which could be dangerous to them at high speeds. During the final days of the Clone Wars, BARC troopers under the command of Jedi General Stass Allie and Clone Commander CC-8826 "Neyo" were present on the planet Saleucami. Whilst out on a speeder bike patrol, Neyo was issued Order 66 by the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, Sheev Palpatine, which forced him to open fire on his superior. As a result Allie, like most of the other Jedi across the galaxy, was killed by the troops.

Cold Assault

Clone cold assault troopers, also known as cold assault clone troopers, were a specialized variant of clone troopers within the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. They were equipped with HT-77 Cold Assault Armor and other cold-assault gear to handle combat in frigid environments. They served on planets like Rhen Var, Toola, and Orto Plutonia. They also flew freeco bikes on Orto Plutonia. A platoon of clone troopers of the 501st Legion donned cold-assault gear and served as clone cold assault troopers during the One-Day War. The Galactic Empire later modeled its cold weather assault stormtroopers after this type of clone trooper.

Pilot

Clone trooper pilots, also known as clone pilots, were clone troopers that, due to having particularly good reflexes and spatial awareness, were spotted early and brought into pilot training. The clones piloted various ships and ground vehicles. Over the course of the Clone Wars, pilots were placed within vehicles like the Low Altitude Assault Transport-family, V-19 Torrent starfighters, Clone Z-95 Headhunters, and ARC-170 starfighters.

Engineer

Clone Engineers were clone trooper engineers of the Galactic Republic that were active during the Clone Wars against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Clone Engineers made sure that the Republic's vehicles were in top condition, and were equipped with specialized Phase I clone trooper armor and later Phase II clone trooper armor. During the war, the 501st Legion deployed Clone Engineers.

Scout

Clone scout troopers, also known as clone scouts, were specialized clone troopers that served in the Grand Army of the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. Trained for reconnaissance and warfare over difficult terrain, a battalion of scout troopers deployed to the planet Kashyyyk during the final days of the conflict, and fought alongside the native Wookiees against the droid armies of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

Clone ordnance specialists, also known as Bomb Squad Clone Troopers, were specialized clone troopers who specialized in disarming ordnance or using such weapons in combat. They were organized into squad units. Bomb squads were stationed within larger clone battalions.
